Antique and Book Market

A few hours rummaging through numerous stalls. The art and antique markets on the illustrious Lange Voorhout and Plein are a true Walhalla for lovers of antiques, curiosa, old prints & books, paintings, New Age, Modern Art and objets d’art. People who want to makean investment on their spending buy their things here. It is amazing how much interest there is in a snug little stall full of old printed postcards, sorted into various categories and in pretty boxes. Hear the barrel organ playing old Dutch songs; spot an old tin box of sweetsmade in the Hague (Haagse Hopjes) from 1890, or discover an old painting that would make a nice addition to your collection for a special price. And don’t forget the lively street cafés around the market.

This market is held from mid May until the end of September on Thursdays and Sundays from 10.00 -18.00 on the Lange Voorhout and in the winter on het Plein.
